Work Groups

We want to increase communications to our elected officials by organizing Work Groups of volunteers who will meet to research bills going through the U.S. House and Senate and those going through the N.C. House and Senate. We’ll be able to track bills as they proceed through committee, debate and on to the final vote.

This will give us the opportunity to get the word out to everyone on what bills are coming up for a vote.

Communicating with our Elected Representatives concerning these bills will be critical, as we hold them accountable for voting our Conservative Values.

Another Work Group will consist of “liaisons”, whose goal will be to attend monthly Committee Meetings, take notes on the meeting and report back to our members on discussions and any policy changes that occur.

We’d like to have several people in each group! We’ve identified the following Work groups, thus far:

• Research of N.C. House and Senate Bills
• Research of U.S. House and Senate Bills
• Liaisons for the McDowell County Board of Education Meetings
• Liaisons for the County Commissioners Meetings
• Liaisons for the City Council Meetings
• Liaisons for election Integrity and Board of Elections Meetings
